Basswood is an acoustic duo comprised of Will Brandenburg and Sheridan Webb. The two have recently relocated to Washington D.C. but have been playing in many different areas including parts of West Virginia, Southern Pennsylvania, and Maryland over the past year and a half. Bringing two individually diverse musical pasts into one band, Basswood’s style combines to create an acoustic/punk/folk style with energy for days. Armed with a variety of covers and originals, they bring an exciting and raw sound that easily occupies a bar scene while remaining gentle enough for a small coffee shop or restaurant. The band’s simple approach with one guitar, two voices, and various percussion elements creates a complex and original sound that rarely disappoints their listeners.
